Advisory Centre for Education (ACE)  - A national charity which provides independent advice for parents and carers of children aged 5-16 in state-funded education.

Children's Education Advisory Service (CEAS) - A tri-Service organisation funded by the MOD. Provides information and support to Service families on all aspects of the education of their children in the UK and overseas. The Directorate Children and Young People (DCYP) is the focal point for all matters relating to Service children and young people. The Children’s Education Advisory Service (CEAS) is an integral part of DCYP providing, on DCYP’s behalf, information, advice and support about Service children and young people’s issues.

Childcare Vouchers - Childcare vouchers are a government initiative designed to help working parents pay for childcare. You can convert part of your salary into vouchers saving the tax and National Insurance you would normally pay on that amount. Sodexo run the Armed Forces Childcare Voucher Scheme.

Naval Education and Training Service (NETS) - There are NETS Learning Centres in the three main Naval Bases; Portsmouth, Devonport and Clyde (Faslane) with a satellite centre in Rosyth. These centres offer a range of facilities for Service personnel and their families.

Plymouth Locality and Schools Out – This is a useful website run by the Plymouth Parent Partnership, which is full of information on events and services in the Plymouth area. It holds a directory covering numerous subjects such as childcare and support groups. The website offers advice on local schooling options and several schools have their own page to inform parents of latest news.
