Moving Into SFA
Click here for information on the DIO website about moving into Service Families Accommodation.
The MOD has put together a comprehensive guide for those in Service Family Accommodation. The guide is broken down into several booklets, each of which focuses on a specific element of living in SFA in Great Britain. Booklet B – Moving into Service Family Accommodation covers the application process and the move in procedure.
More useful details on moving into your SFA are available in the Move In leaflet for SFA.
Individual families are required to organise their move into SFA; see the MHS Guide to Housing Maintenance: Service Families Accommodation Maintenance Guide for further information.
Standards and Repairs
Upon arrival at your new SFA, your accommodation should be of a certain standard of repair and cleanliness. The full list of move-in standards can be found here. However, it is your responsibility to register your dissatisfaction with the condition of your new SFA with the DIO Housing Officer on Move-in day or within 14-days. For information on how to make a complaint, please see the Making a Complaint section.
