Friends & Families of Deployed Units
(FAFDU)

(FAFDU) Naval Area Community Organisation Western

FAFDU is a Plymouth based informal group which offers families and friends of a loved one, who is deployed, an opportunity to meet others in similar circumstances on a regular basis for a variety of social events and get-togethers.

If you live further away and are visiting this area, you are welcome to join us, some of you may live closer to other military establishments and could contact the HIVE (numbers from SAFAB on 01752 569696), or their welfare organisation to enquire about similar events.

‘Deployed’ for our group can mean away for as little as a day, on a course or weekending, as well as the longer times away.

There is a Coffee Drop-In at Radford Community Centre, Thursdays PM.

Examples of recent events were...

Games and Fun at Radford
Daytrip to Strete Discount Shopping Village
Christmas Party at Crownhill Family Centre
Dick Whittington Pantomime, Plymouth

Check out the news and photo's of the recent trip in June to Pennywell farm.

All are welcome to join us, most of the events have little or no cost and transport can sometimes be arranged. For details and directions please contact one of the people listed below or click here:
