The Naval Families Federation

...the voice for families of those serving in the Royal Navy and the Royal Marines

About the NFF

NFF, the Naval Families Federation, works from Castaway House in Portsmouth.

The Naval way of life often presents challenges that would not normally be experienced by civilian families. The Federation has been set up to give Royal Navy and Royal Marine families an independent voice. This may be by working with the chain of command or the Ministry of Defence, but also twice a year there is an opportunity to represent the views of naval families direct to government and ensure they are heard at the highest level.

Anybody with a family member serving in the Royal Navy or the Royal Marines is encouraged to contact the the NFF. All families need to do is to choose their form of communication with NFF, whether by telephone, e-mail or through the post.

The NFF magazine 'Homeport' is free and distributed by the Royal Navy and Royal Marines to all naval families throughout the world. Copies are also available from the NFF office, by completing the application form.

Supporting the Naval service and working alongside the NFF at Castaway House are four Naval charities, RNBT (Royal Naval Benevolent Trust - www.rnbt.org.uk), WRNSBT (WRNS Benevolent Trust - www.wrnsbt.org.uk), the RN and RM Children's Fund (www.rnrmchildrensfund.org) and RSR (Dame Agnes Weston's Royal Sailors' Rests - www.rsr.org.uk)
